NO! The ad says freshwater or Fish Only
What is the biggest difference when it comes to making it okay for corals? It has the same light colors... Is it the wattage or something?
Wattage. LED for reefs are typically 3 watts each.
If all of the above is more capital outlay than you wish, I'd advise going with an Aquatic Life 6-bulb T5HO fixture. T5s are tried and true technology, and while the long-term costs of ownership are higher than LEDs, the initial cost outlay is quite low.
Yes, it will be OK for a reef tank, so long as you purchase a minimum of 2 of the fixtures for low-light corals, or 3 of them for higher light corals.
If I buy two of these I'm looking at 400+ dollars.. Isnt there a different light that will work for that price range if not lower...
I'm looking for one that can be programmed and has an "AUTO" Dimmer
Look into the reefbreeder photon series. I have the 48" and it has been working great for my tank.
Cant really Afford 500 dollars.. Was trying to stay in the 200-300 dollar Range.
