Any experiences or info on this species (Lactoria fornasini)? Word on the street this species stays much smaller and is much less likely to "nuke" a tank than many of the other species. My LFS has some for $10 each and I've always been interested in this fish. Any info or advice would be much appreciated

"The bodies of Boxfish are covered in a toxic mucus which can be released when stressed." Sounds iffy in a closed system.

i have had one in my reef tank for about a year, probably the best fish ive had, such a character. i probably have got lucky but he doesnt nip at any corals at all. i keep him well fed with a variety of foods though, shrimp, pellets, nori, etc. He is like a small puppy follows me everywhere and has ben hand feeding since day 1.

i have a 5x2x2 tank so i know there is a risk with the cowfish but i have a decent volume of water to play with and a fairly light bioload. let me know if i can help any further on this!
