Thoughts on adding to a 25g?

I currently have a pair of black occelaris in my 25g. I used to have a bicolor blenny (good riddance) and a neon goby, both had moved on to the big tank in the sky.

I've considered additions, as fun as it is to watch my clowns hosting all day. I'm thinking a pygmy angel, most likely a cherub or african flameback - I know most/all pygmy angels are borderline reef safe, but it seems these two people seem to have luck with.

Also considering a pair of Bangaii, I'm interested in trying to get a pair to breed. Not sure they would in a small tank with clowns in it. Haven't decided I want that them in with the clowns anyway since I'd then have very little color with my fish.

I have a 25g with probably 20-30# of rock, 8g sump, fuge full of macros & critters and a octopus 110 skimmer, and already feed 2-3 times daily with no ill effects on my corals, so I'm not scared of the bioload, more just everyone getting along.

What are the dimensions of this tank? Cherubs and flamebacks can get pretty obnoxious in cramped quarters.

A pair of clowns will take over a 25 gallon tank, especially once they are mature. Additions will be problematical.

What happened to the bicolor blenny (one of the most awesome fish ever!) and the goby?

Did they die recently?

Pygmy angels can be aggressive. If your main goal is that they get along (excellent goal) the cardinals sound like a much better idea.

A dragonet is a neat little fish that the clowns would ignore. And he'll appreciate the rock and critters in your tank.

A cleaner shrimp might also be a good addition.

Do you have a QT ready?

Dragonets are neat, but until I can get my hands on the ORA mandarins I think I want to stay away.

Aggresive clown concerns - note taken, I cant even put my hand in to add a frag without getting attacked. They are pretty mature, they've lost the orange faces a long time ago, and there size differential is growing, so they're def become a mature m/f pair.

As for what happened to the Bicolor (and why it isn't the most awesome fish) and Goby..

Bicolor just flat out disappeared one day, it happened when I took out a rock for fragging, my best theory is it was in the rock, jumped out somewhere in route to the "fragging station" (aka my kitchen table) and was never seen again, cat maybe? Not the best fish ever because it picked on any coral (mostly SPS) that were next to it's favorite hides.

Goby died exactly like I theorize my Blenny did, but I confirmed it. When my last tank cracked I was making a mad dash to drain it and move the rock to a tub with tank water. He jumped out of a rock without me knowing it and I found him later that night on the carpet, crushed, I think I stepped on it. Wasn't too happy about it, he was a cool little fish, but was a good 12+ months old so probably wasn't much longer for the world anyway.

Considering taking my 10g growout for my cichlids and making it a tank for a pair of Bangaii to see if I can get them to breed (or Bangaii/frag tank now that I think about it), maybe I should just leave my clowns to rule the roost in the 25g, add a shrimp or two and call it a day.

Gramma or Psuedochromis would fit and should stand up to clowns alright I think. I have a 24 gallon with a pair of clowns and probably leaving them as is, I like a lightly stocked tank though. I'd pass on the angel, can't see even a small one being too happy in that size tank and still very likely to be a nipping PITA.
