Thoughts on how to vent fishroom?

If you are looking at an ERV, then I would take it a step further and look at an HRV (difference is the HRV controls the loss of heat) becasue in Pittsburgh, that will be handy in the winter. We have an HRV in our house we built last year (in MN) and are very happy with it.

To keep it seperate, you will just have to make sure that the system you end up going with is able to turn your air volume over enough (8x/hour seems like industry standard), and make sure it is vented directly outside

exhaust it through the existing venting for the house, but I wonder about the long term impacts of salt water on the overall system. My other thought was to utilize the existing HVAC Air Exchanger, but again, not sure on the long term impacts of salt water.

Sorry, but why would you be running salt water through your HVAC ducts? if all you want to do is remove excess humidity, then there is no appreciable salt in the water vapor. I vented a tank enclosure through 20' of regular metal ductwork for 5 years and there was no salt build up or corrosion inside the pipes. If you have so much splash in your sump that the fans will be picking up salt water, then I'd suggest you solve the splashing problem first.
