Thoughts on selection

I currently have a Mystery Wrasse and a Golden Dwarf Eel.... Im really wanting a Yasha Goby/ Pistol shrimp pair or a helfrichi firefish.... Im thinking the pistol shrimp may not survive long with the eel and mystery wrasse. Thoughts? if not do you think the firefish would be ok?

If you dont think either of those would be a good fit any suggestions?

I've never had either a Mystery or a Golden Dwarf, but I'd imagine the shrimp would be at risk with them. Plus, the eel might make a meal out of the goby, since it's small enough to fit in it's mouth and not a fast swimmer. Just my guess.

A friend of mine had a golden dwarf. It ate his male maroon clown. I can't imagine it would have a hard time eating perfectly eel-stomach shaped fish like a yasha goby and firefish...

Those were my thoughts.... The eel is still very small... I have to cut krill in half for it. I love the color of the yellow Candy Hogfish as well.... any thoughts on how the Mystery Wrasse would feel about introducing one of those?

Mystery wrasse can become aggressive as they get older, so he may not accept the Hogfish if its a larger adult mystery. Also if it's in a 75 I would think there would be some harassing at least initially.

The eel will eat the pistol shrimp for sure and more than likely your goby too. Eels are best left to FOWL tanks or FO. I had a tessellated eel in my 180g that ate a lion fish that was 8+" long and the eel was only half his size
