With your extensive use of lanthanum chloride you did not notice anything with the calcification of stony corals? Just an irritant to the fish? Interesting topic, it's popped up a few times here and there over the years

never noticed ANY issues

as i understand it,all that happens w/lanthanum is that it loses the chloride to the sw and picks up phosphate in its place to form lanthanum phosphate, which is insoluble

why removing a calcium blocker (PO4) should interfere w/ calcification is beyond my understanding of chemistry,but this is the 1st mention i've come across regarding that as a concern
