Throwing in the towel...

I had to vacate the hobby when I was relocated to another state. I said I would never go back after I sold everything off at a big loss...but here I am again. Good luck and we'll see you again I think.

next time find an expert to show you how to set up right...sucks you invested a ton of money into it.

Great advice from someone who has posted a total of 5 times since '06. Guess you like to pic your spots to be helpful. OP has been around the block a time or two and has kept a really nice reef. Things happen

I've been in the hobby for 15 years and I know what I'm doing. I had a dosing pump hose fail and got busy and wasn't testing water parameters for awhile. The risk of automation, I guess. In any case, I don't really need snarky comments like yours. I'm unhappy enough without them.

Thank you for reminding me to test my water often. I have been neglecting on this department also since putting things into automation.
Sorry for the loss!

Yeah, I usually test parameters weekly but I went more than a month without testing and I'm definitely paying the price.

(in my animal planet documentary voice) And here ladies and gentleman we have a troll with this one coming from Florida. Notice how they come out of no where and leave comments to stir the pot. What is important is to not feed them since it will encourage more troll behavior.

Give jschulst some credit. Eight years between posts and they could still remember how to log in. lol

We got your back Doug!

I have received lots of PMs, texts and calls and I had promised to take pics last night of some of the pieces folks are interested in. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance, due to a family birthday celebration. I will do it tonight. If I haven't responded to your PMs or texts, I will get to it tonight. Thanks for your patience. Doug

Ha! You guys make me laugh... This is a hard decision. I have to confess I am having trouble picturing my family room without this beautiful tank in it. I hope folks will not be too annoyed with me if I change my mind and decide to rebuild...
