Throwing in the towel...

Thanks for the encouragement, Rick. I spent a lot of time this weekend on maintenance I had deferred thinking I was getting out and things look a lot better, I'm hopeful that I can get things stabilized and improving soon. It seems like things have stopped dying so that is a plus. :-)

I agree with you that Rik is terrific. At some point, I need to meet him and a bunch of others folks who have been RC buddies. Maybe I'll start attending more club events in the future.

I don't believe anyone is upset, on the contrary, I believe most here (my included) are happy that you chose to give it another go. Such a beautiful tank you have that it would be a shame to tear it down :)

Please share photos when things are on the up and up.

As a side note, Rik has been a great person to deal with in the short amount of time I have known him. A good asset to have on this forum :)

Mod, I think you can close this thread now. Folks are still getting excited by my original post and some aren't reading to the point where they find out I was just kidding.

You're welcome and really happy you're hanging in. It's always better to let something negative motivate you to improve then to let it motivate you to quit. Keep up the hard work, it'll pay off. I have a small accidental frag of red planet mounted and doing good. It'd be a good trial coral. If you want it, it's yours

Glad to see you did some maintenance Doug. I rather deal with parameter issues over unwanted pest any day. At least you know its fixable. Show us some progress photos when you get everything stable!
