Throwing up?

So i just recently(1 day ago) recieved some Tubastrea's from a local reefer and typically half the polyps are fully open and the rest are half open (if that makes any sense). I feed them some mysis and within an hour they throw it all up. The mysis are still white but they kinda look like theyve been choped up.

ANYWAYS i was just wondering how long does it typicaly take for a Tubastrea to get aclimated to a new tank and accept foods without throwing up

One thing you can start with is to try other foods. Frozen mysis (Mysis relicta) isn't really that great a food to begin with as it is a freshwater "shrimp" and therefore fairly low in omega 3 fatty acids. If you're going to do frozen food, go with something like chopped krill, frozen cyclops, or enriched brine shrimp. Rod's coral blend might also be good, but the particle size seems like it might be a bit small. Secondly, it is possible that you are overloading them with too much food. Smaller, more frequent meals is always the better way to go, particularly if you have stressed Tubastrea. Once they get acclimated to their new environment and are thriving with plenty of stored energy, they should be really easy to feed. Until then, it will take patience and persistence. They really aren't that difficult once you get over the initial hump.

Sweet Thanks. I had a feeling i was feeding them too much but i thought that since they're in such nutrient high areas that too much food wasnt going to be a problem. I might start feeding spirilina brine
