Tigahboy's 15S [LPS-only]

Tigah, you don't see a tank like yours everyday. Nice work....I love the open space and how you named the sections of the tank.

Haven't updated in awhile. Here's some photos I took today:

You are taking excellent pictures, and your tank is very nice. Why don't you put a couple of seahorses in there? They'd give you some motion and the excess food would be eaten up by the acans and blastos.

Hey Marc, thanks for the input.

I'm scared to even put damsels in there at this point. haha. Had 2 banggai cardinals. One just disappeared like the first day I introduced it, then the 2nd died.

All the corals are fine tho.

I was under the impression that sea horses needed extremely low flow - like 5x turnover. I have about 20x turnover right now. would that work?

Well, maybe not. I was studying your plumbing after I posted that, and I see two returns. However, a seahorse would be a cool and gentle addition to the tank. Since you have zero competition besides the corals themselves, it seems like a good choice to me. You could feed them mysis and those corals would catch what the seahorses missed.

Casper is in a tiny tank with a pump that moves nearly 80gph. That would be something like 40x turnover, and she likes to sleep right in the path of the pump (like you saw in my video). She catches food even as it shoots through the tank, but my tank is tiny. I do think it would be a cool option, and you could put in a pair of horses or pipefish....

Okay, go check with the seahorse gang. I don't want to mislead you here.

Nice tank. Where can I get some Dendro?
I've been shopping the web and can't find any.
Hmm..not sure. I got these awhile ago when they were more readily available. I haven't seen them around too much these days.
