I was cleaning out my window well and found a 7 inch Colorado Tiger Salamander living there. Any suggestions on what to do with him?

Best thing to do is put him back in one thats shaded right now
The must stay cool and damp or they will die.
Hard to keep if thats what your thinking but if so they need damp dirt to burrow in and they eat worms.
good luck

If you have a creek near by, place it by a shaded muggy area. After all the rain we had, it must have strayed off.
We used to get them in ours also, until I placed a fence up. Very pretty.

just leave it alone! I have found them in windowells before, and under foundations of homes. It got there on its own I'm sure if its not happy it will leave, unless its bothering you I'd say let nature take its course right?

Well if you ahve a fishing liscense you can keep one as "bait" or also known as a pet they are pretty cool.

I will just leave it. I was just a little surprised that we even had salamanders in CO. I had never seen one in 15 years of living here. He's pretty cool though. I probably wont use it as bait though.
