I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago. It dug a hole under one of my rocks and only extends from this hole about three inches at night to scavenge. I thought these things were supposed to clean the entire sand bed. I could use 15 of these things.

As long as sufficient food id found around where it has settled itself then there's no need to search for it.
