Time for drying out sand and rock

I've had some rocks drying out for about 6 weeks outdoors in full summer sun. Is this good enough to make sure any encysted ich will be gone?

The sand was removed from the tank the same time, but only spread out in the 100 degree weather for about 1 week. Is it good enough here as well?

Yes, I would think you'd be just fine. 6 weeks dry is a long time. Since the rocks are already dry and you're starting over anyways, I'd also give them an acid bath to help with phosphates.
