Time for SPS to colour back up after purchase?

Hi,
Just wondering how long it tends to take you guys to see full colour after buying new SPS from a LFS or similar.
Once I put corals in my tank they seem to lose colour initially and take a long time to colour back up. I was just wondering about other people's experiences.

That is not uncommon. I have had some color back up in a few weeks and others take months.

Depenends on the coral and the conditions you give it. So there is no real answer for anything specific.

My experience runs from no color loss at all, to one mini colony I bought that took 14 months to color up and start growing. Typically, 2-6 weeks is fairly common depending on species and assuming your own conditions are ideal.

Thanks for the replies. Mine tend to take between 4-8 weeks so it seems that's not unusually long.
