Time to come clean!!

Okay, so I'll admit, I know the proper/required tank sizes for tangs. One of my buddies got a Vlamingi Tang from our LFS without doing any research, and he only has a 75 gallon. He was going to take it back to the LFS however I told him I'd take him until my tank was too small to house him anymore. The Vlamingi is only about 2 inches right now, an extreme juvenile, and I know at how fast of an alarmingly fast rate they grow.

I DO plan on getting a much larger tank. Right now I only have a 100 gallon. Unlike many empty promises to get rid of a fish before it gets too large, I WILL get rid of him if he gets too large before I get a larger tank.

Me and my brother are planning on buying a house, and once we do he is going to build us a huge tank (talking about like 300 +). So far this fish has become my favorite; it will sleep with my puffer, and eats right out my hand just like the puffer as well.

I'm curious to know everyone's thoughts on this... how bad is it really to have it in my tank right now? :worried: my tank is 6 foot long, and 2 feet wide. It should be okay for a couple months at least?

It will be OK for a few months. They do grow pretty quickly, however, and it will need to be rehomed. They are very cool fish though. I have contemplated getting one for my 300g.
