Today is the first day of setup on my new sea horse tank. The set up will be....

55lbs BRS Pukani Dry Eco Rock
20 gallon sump
Reef Octopus XP-1000 SSS cone skimmer

Since I am new to sea horses input is welcome. Pics to come soon.

Nice setup, but you'll want some hitches in the tank (I use branchy LR and live macro).

If there is a propeller inside that PH, you'll want to put a guard over it so your SH don't amputate their tails (I've seen it happen to folks more than once).

Also, that gorg needs to be removed from the substrate, as it will go necrotic where it's buried and the necrosis will move up the stalk above the substrate. I'd also put it in a high flow area or aim the PH at it.

Your SH will spend a good deal of time hunting in those clumps of red macro (the bushy stuff really harbors the pods).
