time to sell everything :(

Well with school starting and this semester im having to pay for everything on my own i really cant afford to keep my tank going. I would like to put a feeler out there to see what a good price for all my stuff all together would be. I really hate to do this but i cant afford to keep it going. I do have flatworms so that might impact the price which sucks because i have over $2500 into this tank. I was thinking about asking $1200 for everything......even all my supplements, test kits, rock, sand, corals, fish, lights, timers, EVERYTHING!

Let me know what all of you think as i would like to get rid of it to one of you guys!!!

I also have two onyx clowns, a pink spotted watchman goby, a target mandarin, a cleaner shrimp and a clean up crew.

im thinking the flatworms are keeping everybody away so right now im just going to hold off on selling anything and try to get rid of these ****ers!!!! Im going to try a yellow wrasse and a few other things so maybe i can get a hold on these damn things and then try to re-sell a little later.

Very Nice Randall, We recently had a bout of flat worm and used Flatworm- X no loss of SPS or LPS little buggers are gone for good. PM me and tell me how to get hold of you on land line.

I think he's tried it shannon, I've tried to convince him to do it again but he's pretty set on natural control. I think i'd setup a second tank with all new water, a light and some circulation.
Get out each coral one by one and dip them in freshwater for a little bit then transfer it to the new tank (could be a cheap plastic tote from walmart even)
Then repeat a day later.
remove all the sand and trash it, go bare bottom.
thoroughly clean the tank and trash any filter media, clean everything with hot tap water, dry it mix up a new batch of water and re set it up. could be easilly done in a weekend, I know you work so maybe you'd have to do it in a couple weeknights.
I really feel natural predation will only knock the numbers down but will never fully get rid of em in a timely matter.
thats just my 2¢ though I have never had the misfortune, I'm sure I will someday though! there are a ton of nasties out there these days.

Wow that's quite a lot of work but I'm keeping the suggestion should I ever get to the point. Chris sounds like the only way then......Hmmm Randal I would love to have a few of the pieces should you get the Flatworm under control.

yea thats my only downfall and also i priced things too high........sorry about that!!!! i have never really sold anything like this. Im used to selling stuff from the LFS that i worked at and thats how we priced stuff. But i am really wanting to get rid of all this stuff i just dont have time for it and school is crazy hard right now.
