Time to upgrade! To drill or not to drill?

1) If you decide to go with a sump, drilled w/ overflow > HOB

2) Alternatively, you can have Advanced Acrylic or Acrylic World build you a large AIO with back or side chambers and then use a good HOB skimmer like an MCE600, Bermuda Rogue, or a WM H2.

I recommend drilling and using the sump like everyone else has suggested! If you still need it I have a Remora Pro available that I used on my 55g!

Left Coast DJ - I think I am drilling it. I like the idea of making it into an all one, but the tank is already a little skinnier than I was hoping (only 18" front to back) so I can use all the room I can get. Drilling will open up a LOT of space.

Rort - I agree, it looks like everybody says drill... so that's what I'm gonna do... What did you want for the remora? I have the regular one but the pro is bigger and more effective, yeah?

From what I have seen, Yes. The Pro I believe is rated up to 100g which would be nice for your 45g as long as you have a good pump going into it.

Let me know if you want it and we can work something out
