Timer motor problem?

I have a timer motor that I am making something with. it is a 4w 1.8rpm. The problem is every time I plug it in it turns in a random direction. sometimes clockwise, sometimes counter clockwise. any way to fix this. I need it to turn one way every time it is plug in.

well that means you have a A.C. motor . go get your self a D.C. motor and it will always spin in the same direction as long as you hook up the wires the same every time. switch the wires it will go in the other direction

It's true. Need a DC. Anything AC will be expensive.
