i have one joint on my closed loop that is so very slowly seeping out some water. i shut down the loop and used some pvc cement to coat it. you guys think this will be enough of a fix? i'm letting it set upo before i start up the pump again.

Did you cement the outside or pull the pipes apart and cement the inside?

they were already cemented together. i didn't know of anything else to do. no way to pull them apart.

There are some things that can be done but let's see if what you have done works.
