Tiny Snail ID

Featherdusters

New member
I was trying to get some shots of my shrimp when I spotted these guys on the rock. I have had them for a while but have never been able to get a picture of them. Anyone have any idea what they are and how come they don't grow very large? These are largest specimens I have seen.

Your snails are rissoids, which shouldn't be any problem in your tank. If they aren't Zebina tridentata, they're a closely-related species.

Oh wow this whole time I thought I had a small population of pyramid snails in a clam-less tank!

Perfect ID! Thank you. They haven't harmed my corals or anyone else in the 6 months I have had them. They only come out at night to feed on the glass or live rock.
