Tiny white snails

Last night I was up late and happened to peek into my tank. I found probably about 100 + tiny little snails all over my rocks. I've never seen these out during the day so I don't know what they could be. Anyone have a clue what they might be? I can't get a picture they are so small.

I used to think every tank had them. But my LFS was surprised when he saw how many I had. I haven't a clue if they are good or bad.

The appear to eat algae I think. I've never seen 1 of the hundreds I have on a coral so probably good. This is only a guess.

I have 1000's of them also. I looked into it before but don't remember the name. I haven't had any problems with them. It's been a couple years now and they just keep multiplying.

It was just a surprise to me. My wife asked what all the little white spots were that hadn't been there during the day. It took me a while to figure out they were snails and not baby stomellas.
