Anyone has much success with Blue Gorgonian? I Got mine 2 days ago. My lfs guy suggested powder food but it doesn't go for it. It seems to enjoy the 3 days old brineshrimp when i feed my Mandarins. Any suggestions for what's the best variety of food for it and any success stories will be greatly appreciated. Mine is doing excellent right now; polyps fully bloom and on feedinf fenzy which it didn't at the lfs.

I have a red one (pretty sure he's non photosynthetic) and they seem easy to care for. I target feed him reef-roids and coral frenzy every other day, alternating between them. He's growing at a good rate as well, been in my tank for around six months.

Assume you mean the blueberry seafan? Best advice would be to return it and don't buy another one. If it's a blueberry, they almost never survive in captivity as they just don't get enough to eat. You have to feed the tank multiple times a day with small foods like baby brine, daphnia and reefroids. Suggest you check out the non photosynthetic forum here for more expert advice.

Sorry for your loss. very hard to keep. Non-Photo and will most likely suffer in your tank setup.

also that clown trigger will get huge, and the mandarin won't be able to live solely on prepared foods. Brine is also most nutritious within the first few hours of its life.
