Tips for preparing for an anemone

I am going to be picking up my RBTA tomorrow, and I want to make sure that I have done everything possible to ensure a smooth transition. I moved all my frags to the sandbed, covered the powerheads, mixed up a batch of water, got the airline tubing ready to drip, and made sure all my levels tested perfect. Should I move my big frogspawn frags, or do you think they will be ok? Any other recommendations?

Good idea ya mixed water in advance for the drip. I do the same. It could go anywhere in the tank. But won't go where the flow is blasting. So I suggest you point most of your flow across the back. That way it will stay on the front.

I bought my first coral today so can't answer that question. But if your highest flow is over the corals it won't go there. At least not for long.

And the BTA tends to attach UNDER a rock. And stretch into the highest lighting available. My old BTA did this. And my new one went all over the tank but is now 2 inches to the left of where the old one was. Dead center under the MH but attached on the bottom of a rock.

I agree with stagefright13, I placed mine in a similiar position , it went all over the tank for 4 months and ended up about 5 inches from where i placed it the first day. It also split during this time. Keep your coral as far away as possible when your RBTA gets aclimated to your tank.

Ok good to hear. I will point a powerhead across the back of the tank, and hopefully it will deter it from going back there. Luckily I have a spot dead center of my aquascape that the nem can attach to if he chooses so.
