Long tentacle anemones (Macrodactyla doreensis) do not reproduce by splitting. If you attempt to manually split it, both halves will die. If you'd like another anemone in your tank, you're going to have to buy another one.
Only bubble tips and ritteri split naturally all others reproduce via spern/egg. If you want one thats splits I recommend the bubble tip as the ritteri is a hard to keep nem that requires very high lighting and very stable water parameters and takes a long time if ever for them to split and grow quite large. Bta's come in all colors and stay smaller than the ritteri for the most part and require less lighting. Some are know to split a few times a year and some may never split.
How bigs the tank? If the tank is large enough then yes you can have multiple bta's in the same tank of any color and them be fine. i know a guy that started with one and it split so he kept both halves. Well they both split after a while, long story short he after about 3 years had 29. He sold all but 5 a few months ago and is back up to 7 now. That being said I also know of one at a lfs that has been in the same tank in the same spot for 6-7 years and is almost 12" across and never splits. If your water is good and you have the right lighting and feed them often they will usually split regulary
Quick questions. I see you joined here in May. How old are the tanks? What sizes are they? Lighting? The lta will get a lot larger. Somewhere around 24" or bigger. You may not have room for more bta's. if they touch the lta there will more than likely be problems. Also be careful not to rush your bioload as nems are messy creatures. And if you do add bta's don't try to rush them to split, it usually dosen't end well in less you know what your doing.
