Tips on Treating a Blue Hippo Tang for Ich?

Alright so I purchased a very small 2 inch wild caught Blue Hippo Tang about 6 days ago, I made a post a day or two ago asking about odd white lumps I noticed on him after he emerged from hiding. NOW in addition to these white lumps, he has small white dots all over him that resemble ich. Not so sure about the raised up ones still, but it is clear he at least has ich. I have a small 10 gallon tank I set up for quarantine, but before I put him in there I just wanted a few tips? Such as, what should I use to treat him?
and what's the best method to transfer him to the quarantine tank?

should I just net him and put him in there? I don't want to add more stress to him from doing this, that's my main concern and why I put off transferring him in the first place. He's currently in my 70 gallon (I am aware he will need a bigger tank when he grows, I will be transferring him to a 150 gallon within a year. Don't have the space for a 150 right now, but will when I move soon)

He is acting perfectly fine. Actively eating and exploring. I also have two chromis and a clown, but I don't feel like shoving them all in a 10 gallon tank will help, only stress them out. My chromis' and my clown have no signs of ich. I know I probably need to treat them too though because that's just the general rule.

The only thing I've done so far is turn the heat up to 80 degrees in their tank.
How should I go about treating the Tang? Should I move him to the 10, and how? What should I have in the quarantine tank for him?

Lastly, When I purchased some hermits from one of my lfs, I asked him about my tang and the odd lumps (before i saw the ich), he gave me this greenish yellow powder and told me this is what he uses to treat all his fish for any sign of any illness, but that it'll turn my water green. I do not remember the name of this but I do still have the bag of it. Do you recognize what this could be? Sorry for all the questions!!! I just really want to make sure I do this right and provide the right treatment.

Also... what filter would be best? I have a few spare ones at my house. a small aqueon filter, a corner filter, and a spongefilter. would any of these work or should i go to the store and get a better filter like a fluval or something??

Read up on tank transfer method, an air stone that's disposed of each transfer and a heater is all you'll need.

As for the observation QT, any of those should be fine so long as the media has already been cycled.

What he said. Turn the heat back down to about 76F

To reduce stress, you can use water from the 70 gallon to fill the 10 gallon. New salt and water may stress the fish even more and make the ich attack worse.

If you use a filter don't run carbon since it will strip the meds from the water

Obviously your tank has ich, so do not use that water. Make fresh water and match the salinity and temp of your DT. I agree, I suggest the TTM.

thank you all for your tips! just for an update

that night I went out and bought a marineland 150 for the QT and moved him into it. His ich got bad, reallllly bad for about two days and he was definitely struggling. but the ich has fallen off for the time being and he's doing a little better.

Before I even saw these comments, I did put about 50% of the water I needed for the 10 from my 70 just because my store was out of premixed saltwater. I'm going to look into the tank transfer method because I reeeeeally don't want to use copper. Thank you again for your tips :)
