Titanium heater horizontaly?

I have two Aquatop Titanium 200W heaters. It's safe to place them horizontaly under the skimmer stand (from egg crate)?

In the manual indicated to place the heater verticaly.

On the fennex heater there is a tag on the cord that shows them in the tank horizontal. I would say you are good.
That's how I have done mine for years.

Mine are horizontal in the Sump

Mine have always been horizontal, as long as they are fully submersible

Will, there be something between the heater and the bottom of the sump? Finnex Titanium heaters now come with covers.

I think most heaters say to only mount vertically but tons of people have them horizontally without issue

I've had my Finnex titanium tube heaters laying horizontally in my sump for 11 years now, with no issues.

The heater has rubber bumpers on each end of the tube that keep the heated part of the tube off the acrylic.

And, as moondoggy4 said above, the newer Finnex tubes come with covers.
