To catch a fish...

A while back, I was encouraged by quite a few of you to get rid of my bi-color dwarf angel, so I could start getting some corals.

Well, after about a month of watching him continue to bully my fish and nip and my snails and everything else, I've decided to return him to the LFS.

One problem... how am I supposed to catch him without tearing my tank apart? :mad2:

He is quick and won't separate himself more than an inch from the rockwork/caves. I'm thinking some sort of trap, but that might catch my other fish...

Please advise and thanks in advance.

Get a large net, put it in the water at feeding time. Turn off all the pumps and feed directly over the net. Then scoop.

You may get more than just the angel but you can put the rest back.

try and try again!
i've heard some use traps, some actually go fishing with hook and line.
i also seen this trick done but if you can get him to hide in or flatten him self in a crevise pull that rock out, put it in a bucket of salt water, and wait till he starts swimming in the bucket, then remove rock.

Use a fish trap that has a long string on the trap door. Bait it with mysis, keep the door closed until the fish you want is in front of it, then gently raise the door. Since all fish traps are made from clear acrylic, the door is basically invisible to the fish. Usually takes about 20 minutes. For me it has been 100% successful.
