To chill or not to chill?

OK I got this light
48" CORALIFE AQUALIGHT PRO 2 x 250 HQI Halide

Two 250 watt 10,000K double-ended HQI metal halide lamps
Two 96 watt True Actinic 03 Blue square-pin compact fluorescent lamps
Four 1 watt Lunar Blue-Moon-Glow 470nm LED lamps

My tank is 110g

Will 2 small surface fans do or will I def need a chiller?

Thanks for the input.

Put the light over the tank and see what the water temp ges up to. If it goes above 80 degrees I would try the fan route first (alot cheaper than a chiller). Another option is is you can raise the lights farther away from the water.

If you can afford a chiller, go for it. It's worth it IMO. Would you skimp on hundreds of dolars worth of investment? With this HOT Florida weather, I am glad I got one last week. My evaporation rate is waaay slower than with a fan. My tank got to 90F one time even with a fan and that scared the bijeezus out of me.

I agree with Whisperer. If you can afford one and have a place to hide it or don't mind what it looks like (sounds too), then go for it.

I have the same light but the 150watt version for my 72gal. A single vornado fan in my sump works fine for me. I didn't get a chiller because I didn't have a place to hide in my cabinet.
