To clip or not to clip?: STN branch

My tank was struggling for a little while and I had an acro on the sand that started STNing on one of the branches. I figured it was because of the decline of the tank + its position.

So, I moved it up to where my other SPS are doing well and I have since started taking good care of the tank.

Now the branch is still STNed. I am leaving town for 3 days and I don't want to leave and come back to a completely dead coral.
Should I clip it, or leave it alone?

Clip it. If it's a goner then you're going to lose the coral anyway. If you clip it perhaps the frag will survive.

I would frag it. Chances are it will get worse you dont want to lose the whole coral
