ok soooooo. I waz thinking about the middle bar on top of my tank. and wanted to know if I can cut it off so that my lights can light up my tank a lil better. I hate the way it looks and it gives my tank some dark spots. LMK.... TO CUT or NOT TO CUT

No! Its the brace that helps to keep the stress from the water pressure from going against the silicon on the glass.

u need the brace what i did in my old tank is i cut it and repalced it with a piece of plexiglass using plastic screws

Yea don't do it. My buddy had a 125 and the brace was broken and he tried repairing it on his own and the tank Still cracked due to the pressure.

You definitely need more light, but the brace is there for a purpose. And you still might have a slight shadow under it. Just acknowledge that its there and put less light loving critters under it.

Agree if your not keeping coral and just doing fish raise it up higher and seperate them and it should fill a greater area or add another light
