To frag, or not to frag.

What would happen if I never frag my branching frog spawn? when I bought it 5 months ago there were about 10 heads, now there about 35-36 and growing strong. Would some heads die because of lack of light or just plain fighting for space? Plus my wife likes it and dosen't want me to touch it, what do you think?

Frag it for sure. If the heads start dieing off because of lack of light or even lack of room, you could get an infection on one of the heads (such brown jelly) and possibly lose the whole colony.

You could always frag what you have and trade for a different color morph. Its not like it wont grow back again anyway =)

Mine got to about the size of a volleyball and when I decided to frag it I noticed the bottom ring of heads were dead due to lack kof light.

Thanks, this thing is growing out of control (but I like it) The wife thinks that if I cut it it will die, I will just break off a couple of the inside surrounding heads to keep the ball look. Ill take a pic after the lights come on.

You can generally sell those pretty quick.

you can always just prune a few around the edges. Then it will still be pretty. Keep your wife happy too.
