To much flow ??

Ok I just setup my 75 gallon tank starting my new cycle and I have 2 hydor 1400 evo in there and kinda looks like a tornado. The sands now blowing but I do have these white things left over from my new sand that's going crazy.
Just worried once the fish get in there might be to much flow.
Or maybe I just need to point them different.

Any help please?

I have the same powerheads in a 75, and it's all about placement. I have mine on opposite ends, 1/3 of the way from the top facing each other, with one pointed straight and the other pointed up slightly. My sand doesn't move at all and my fish like the flow.

I agree it is all about placement. I run 5250gph in my 75 gal. and don't have sand blowing at all.

Just move them around until the tornado stops you will find a spot that gives you tons of flow but dosent tear apart your sandbed.

What size sand do you have? If it's the rally fine sugar sand it could be an ongoing problem. I've made that mistake before.

I put the mini flakes from tropic Eden
not really a sand storm just looks really windy in there...lol

That's kinda my placement other the where I pointed them.
Do you have yours in the middle or the back of the sides?

In the middle on each end. I tried pointing them towards the front glass and it made a sandstorm.
