To QT or not to QT

I will be getting my first fish in a month and my question is should I QT them first or just put them right into my tank?

QT would be the best route to go, and its a good habit to get into early.

i have always QTed livestock before adding to the show tank. And i have never had an out break in my old show tank. I have had fish break out with ich 3 weeks after i bought them in my QT tank.

Always QT it is the safest bet, imo.

Definately QT but the ignorant ones will tell you to throw em right in and watch em die.

Yes QT, never never never put a fish directly into the display. You may get lucky, but sooner or later, your luck will run out.
