reason i would guess its not as red is for 2 reasons,
1. im using a easyshot kodak camera (100$ camera) my friend just got a new D90 nikon(nice slr badboy) he wants to shoot pics of my tank again so i can get some more nice ones then....

2. my bulbs are really starting to yellow out, i got new bulbs on order so they should be here wednesday i think.


on a side note i usually feed it a chunk of silverside ever 3-4 days.... been feeding him a tad more lately to try to get a split,

if/when he does split rob stop on by again could hook ya up :D lol wont give ya the entire nem but we can work something out haha


also on a side note i believe the tanner color is healthier for nems i could be wrong on this vs the darker color in the first pic(night i got it)
 
I have one that got that big and was just about to cut, when one morning in the far back in a shaded area was a baby that have split, so take a look in the smallest of areas, you never know.

My "strain" behaves exactly the same way. All three of mine stay about grapefruit-sized. The thread-starter's anemone is huge!

My rbta gets that big and is already that big just before it splits. Mine has split around the first or second week of Dec. for the last 3 years. I have quit target feeding mine over the last couple of years and it continues to grow well. But then again I do feed my tank lots of meaty foods, which I am certain the bta captures.

I have one in my 12gal too but trust me when I say yours is going to get a lot bigger!! i have been forced to move most of my corals out of the way into the back or sell them to make room for my RBTA's growth. He stung and killed my favorite coral this past week, a 25 head duncan.... what can you do! Just a fair warning cuz it looks like you have some nice corals you are going to have to babysit later! haha
 
Very nice! Mines is about that big and has not split yet either...I would like to make some money too lol

I never feed my RBTA it just grows way too fast if I do. I have been lucky and I can get mine to split when I want it too. I will let my water quality get really poor, maybe go about 6 weeks without a water change, then I will do a 50% water change and BAM it split the very same night. ALWAYS. I do give it 6 months before I do this though. But hey its $75 income every 6 months LOL
