yeah august 9th is supposed to be the date they open there mouths and confirm they are making it. I will try to order one right away and hope for the best. the only thing I don't like is it is supposed to be switching to the sd card. I just ordered a brand new 1 gig compact flash card because all the others I was looking at take that. supposed to be the same sensor as the d200 so I am excited about the potential of the new camera. I didn't see the body construction material yet but I don't think they will go plastic at least I hope not.
I have read my 4500 manual a couple times I think I will read the new camera manual at least 5 times . I really want to get good with it so I will be reading alot. it's hard for me to put it all together reading what someone tells you to do then dig through the menu's and the camera won't make certain adjustments depending on modes and you search and search for something thats not there. manual focus was tough to find and I think that is one of the main reasons I want an slr. that and super fast action
