i bought both of the above....they looking liked they were just small from the travel from the owners tank to the bucket he had them in....when i brought it home with further inspection, teh toad stool is sliming and doesnt look so great and the finger coral is really hard like rock in some spots and im pretty sure is dead....how can you be for sure....and is it likely that tey will recover....i am just really really angry right now after spending $50...and basically just giving that money away :(

keep them in medium flow, most leathers are very hardy and will come back ok. Man i could of gave you some of those for free leathers are my favorite and i have alot of them. leather corals like to shed there skin so as long as they have decent light and medium flow on them they should be ok.

Since you are the king of leathers I figure there is no one better to ask this to.

I was going to get a toadstool as my first leather. parameters are good, waterflow is good, 250W DE MH, 44gal 20lbs of live rock.

I have clowns with they hurt or help the growth of toadstools?

Thanks!

most leathers are easy to care for you have more than enough light so as long as your flow is moderate and not to low you will be just fine.
