Sorry to make this my first post but I need some help.

About 2 weeks ago one of my other corrals attacked my toadstool.

I separated them instantly.

Everything looked good. There was just a small spot that looked damaged. The toadstool was still sending out it polyps everyday.

Now about 2 weeks later this starts.

The toadstool still stands up. He doesn't lean over or seem weak. But the 2 white sections seem to be getting bigger and it doesn't deploy his polyps now.

Should I be worried?

Get a new sharp clean razor blade and cut off all the affected flesh just ahead of the white flesh where it was stung. Its always hard to tell without seeing it in person but it looks necrotic. The coral will grow back if you cut off the dieing flesh but if you don't you risk loosing the whole coral.

my buddy's has gotten some kind of infection in the past, where half the stalk looked like it was in bad shape. The leather was withering away. I took it home, used a sharp clean blade to cut all the infected area away. Right after that it just woke up and now it's doing really well.

I agree with the others, get a sharp razor, and do a clean single cut to remove just past the damaged area. It will grow back.
