I have had this 6 in leather for a couple months and has seemed to be normal and fully expand its polyps daily. It has been a reddish color but started to bleach out in the past 3 days, starting in the center and going outwards turning white.
It still seems normal though. It closes at night, polyps open and expands about half way when actinics come and fully extends when Haildes come on.
The only change has been switching from Oceanic to Reef Crystals last week with the usual weekly 20% water change. Upon switching salt, my Ca went from 460 to 390 and DKh went from 7.6 to 8.0 and have been slowly buffering with Brightwell Aqautics Reef Code A-B to get the Ca and ALk up.
The only other coral is pulsing Xenia which is just fine and fish are great.
My current parameters are.
Ammonia 0 Salifert
Nitrites 0 Salifert
Nitrates 5 Salifert
Ca 390 Salifert
DKh 8.0 Salifert
Ph 8.o Salifert
Mag 1340 Marine Aquariums Test Lab
Temp 79-80.5
SG 1.024 Refractometer

Below is a photo I took 3 days ago. I will take another pic tomorrow when I pick up a new battery for the camera. The whitish color in the center didn't bother me but now that has spread to the out edges. and has lost the color.
