ToadStool Leather has a Hole in it?

I came home today to see that my toadstool leather has a hole a little smaller than a ink pin on one side of it all the way through it, it is all so white around the hole.

I have had the Leather for about 2 years and have never it seen it do this before. Any ideas what might be wrong with it? It Stands about 6" tall and about 5" wide. Still looks good other than that spot.

Don't have a clue as to why it happened but I would cut out all of the dead area and hope for the best.

Maybe it is beginning to split? Mine used to divide itself and drop off babies.

Did yours develop necrotic tissue when it was splitting? If so, then it could be.

Most splits that I've seen didn't include dead tissue though.

Body piercing is very hip. Maybe your toadstool is trying to be cool.

I received one for free that had a huge hole in the middle of it. It looks good otherwise. The guy said it did that once and healed from it, but it happened again. It seems to be a little better now. Also, shortly after I got it, it got another small hole like the one you described. I think it is healed from that one now too. I have no idea why it happens though.
