toadstool leather

I would really like to frag my toadstool leather. I've read a lot about it and would like to hear some input/suggestions on the best method. One site said to simply snip a piece while it is in the DT while another says to remove it and do a "doughnut" incision.

Would it be ok to put the toadstool back in the DT afterwards or do I need to set up another tank so that the mucus doesn't hurt my other livestock? Can I place the frags back into the DT?

when I frag mine I do the dough nut method, cut a ring around the outside of it then cut that ring into sections (frags). I also have a tank setup to place them in for a couple days just to make sure the toxic mucus don't fowl the tank.

Thanks. I have a little 10 gal tank I can get started back up. The lighting isn't the best, just a strip light. Would that work?

yeah that will work as it will only be in there a couple days.
