toadstool not doing well

Hi all. Last week I did a water change and accidentally sucked toadstool with hose. This is what it looks like now, and I don't know what to do. 28g Nano. Set up and doing great for a year. I have had toadstool for 6 months and never no problems. I am going to try and post a pic. Any suggestions welcomed.

Brother if you did that type of damage from sucking it up, you must have used a wet/dry vac!

The hose was just a regular hose. It was only just a second or two. Actually the next day, coral still looked fine. The third day, it would not open, and then it just started turning brown. I did replace the gfo in tank, so I hope that wouldnt do anything. So I will take advice and leave it in the tank for a while. With my fingers crossed.

So how is it looking today. I went back and looked at the pic you posted, it looks like a toadstool I ordered from an online retailer. It came in with that same look to it and died shortly there after. If it continues to decay like that, you have the option of fragging pieces off and growing them out (frag around the brown decay). Or you can toss it if it doesn't look better.

Sloughing? That is possible, but that looks pretty drastic to me. I could be wrong though. Any other leather people want to chime in?
