Toadstool on a schedule

Good day to you all, I have a small toadstool leather that appears to be in great condition, Lights come on at 12:00pm and go off at 9:30 pm, At 1:00pm the toadstool opens with full extention and looks great, at 4:00pm it closes and shrivels up like it in about to shead and then around 8;00pm it comes out again. I have seen pods crawling around the base. tank has been cycled for 2 months and running for 3.5 months. Thoughts?

Lighting:3x 250w MH 20000k 5 inches above water

Mine is never really happy unless I have some nitrate in the water.

Too much light IMO..

and your calcium is WAY..WAY high.. should be around 400ppm
what happened there?
fluctuating parameters is never good..

Haha yeah CA is 400 not 1400 my bad

I have raised my lights 4 inches over the last 2 days, hopefully that takes care of it

How is the flow in your tank? Mine 'moved' to be in more direct flow and it had double in size in a short period of time.

Flow is good, it is in the center of my tank where the 2 powerheads meet, since I raised the light it has been in shed mode,
