Toadstool problem

My toadstool pom pom coral has within the last two days come down with some sort of brown spot on it. It will blow off like diatoms do if you blow on it but the spot is getting bigger. How do I treat it? The actual toadstool head is slumped sideways and looks like a direct tv or dish network satellite dish. We are taking it out of the tank today but not sure what the plan should be for it. Any suggestions? We have Coral RX. Should we just try that or do we need to do surgery? It looks like brown jelly disease to me now. The other possibilities are that it came in contact with a floating red mushroom that broke loose from a nearby rock and may have gotten stung? Or I did notice the long extensions of the pom pom were pretty close to our powerhead and it was twisting it a bit but don't really know if that would be enough current force cause it to become injured. We also just found a flat worm in our sump but have not seen anything in the tank. Any ideas/instructions?

Well...we ended up sucking off the whatever it was on the pom pom and then we dipped him. Now he is just sliming all over. Most likely didn't like the dip. We were just talking about how he was getting too big for the tank. Maybe he heard us :(

This is the toadstool after we just syphoned the brownish stuff off of it. When we syphone it, the toadstool stands up a little more. It is almost like he is bending over to get the spot off.

This is another picture from a slightly different angle. I don't know why the pictures are coming out so blue looking.

Has any critters been on it lately? Sometimes a hermit or any type of crab can puncture coral and damage them

It could be a puncture wound and hasn't healed. Or some type of fungus maybe. But looks like a wound to me

this is what it looks like today. I took this picture with my phone while the lights were still out. I don't think any of the inhabitants would go on it. It is pretty tall. Every one in there has been in there a long time. I was thinking it was a disease or chemical warfare going on. I had one floating red mushroom that had broken free from its rock that could have landed on it. I just wish I knew what to do to save him.
