Toadstool question

I have a huge toadstool (about a foot in diameter) that was doing very well. All the tentacles would come out and even the little white polyps at the end of the tentacles would come out.

These few days only the outside part of the toadstool extends the tentacles out but the polyps won't come out. The center part (about 6" in diameter) stays flat w/ no tentacles extended. I have it under MH lights with medium flow across the top surface of it.

The only thing that happened out of normal these few days was when I added some vitamin C to the tank most of it dropped on the head of the toadstool. Could this have annoyed it?

deffinatly. How much "dropped" on it? Was it just a normal dose that swooshed by it. It should be back to normal in a few days just keep an eye on it.

I dose marine C every once and awhile myself.
