My toadstool seems to close up and shed about every two week's. Will open after a few days.
Seems pretty normal just asking if others do the same. Looks very healthy at all times and happy. Stem is straight and not slumping at all.
Have noticed before closing usually a hermit crab is on it. Is it possible the crabs are irritating it or is it closing every two weeks normal?
All readings in tank are normal and stable. Location is middle of tank with medium to high water flow and I would say medium lighting.
All other corals are open and growing. (Blue Duncan, Pulsating Xenia ect)

I don't have any crabs but my toad does it all the time. even if the slump over, it's nothing to worry about.

Toadstools dead tissue will turn to mush. If its not mush, then it is still alive. I have seen them do with out polyp extension for weeks at a time only to come back strong as ever,

If your Toadstool is really happy the frequency in which they close up like this will be few and far between IME. It's not a bad thing, but it's definitely not something you want to see on a regular basis either. GL.

Often toadstools close up and get that spider webby looking stuff on it just before it makes a good growth spurt, but every 2 weeks sounds like a lot.

I did not see the frequency. I agree, that sounds often. Does it appear to be splitting at all? The only time one of mine shed that frequent, and it was probably more like once every three weeks, was my large pink base, green polyp leather when it was splitting. I got tired of it splitting so i cut it into three pieces then stuck toothpicks with superfglue threw the pieces into the LR. Within 3 weeks they were all reattached and back to 100% normal.
