Toadstool

My toad stool is looking a bunch better (ill give you a 1 month ago pic and now) but it is not as open as when i bought it. Im curious to see what could be causing it. As of about two weeks ago, my parameters were way off, i have done water changes everyday for about the last week to get things back to normal. What does toadstool react to, parameter wise? Could it be because it is fairly close to my zoas? Maybe move it to the other side of the tank? Any opinions will be great!

about a month ago, my tank went through some weird cycle and algae grew everywhere, but the tank looks much better now

seriously would love some tips. The banded coral shrimp could be disturbing it? It could just be recovering by shedding and will just take a while? Here is some more pics. The brown stuff up the side?

i have a nanopowerhead 240 in the upper right hand corner. tank is around 7 months old. lighting 24w 10k and 24w actinic

see the toadstool seems to look healthy its just not fully open like it use to be. Although i don't know if this would affect it but 3 month or so ago the siphon accidentally sucked itself to the middle of the toadstool. could it be damaged... idk.

Looks like cyno algae to me. Run GFO or some kind of phosphate remover media. What brand are your bulbs?
It seems like your lighting may need upgraded too, I recommend trying an ATI Coral plus and blue plus. My toadstool loves high amounts of lighting. Another power head wouldn't hurt either.
It looks like you have red planaria (flatworms) on your back glass, is that correct? I don't think they would hurt anything just an observation. They can smother corals and inhibit light, if high in numbers...
Keep a eye on it and work on getting better bulbs, it will help a lot. Old bulbs change their spectrum and can contribute to algae, good luck!

okay, i got new lights about 2 months ago. I just ordered purigen, I have a media basket with poly filter, chemipure and soon to be purigen. but i can add gfo. i can take out the sponge in the 3rd chamber and put it there.

but that doesnt seem to be red planaria, its just algae and the white dots i dont know what they are. The red look is actually green. maybe im not seing what you are

and yes that is exactly what that was! Cyno algae because my entire tank was covered in it like 2 weks ago and now there isnt any! is that what could be on my toadstool?
