Tobie experience

How do people find tobies in general? I always see reef safe with caution but have read plenty that suggests corals are safer but I know that cuc is at risk and people say no to shrimps but does this happen or is it just generally possible? Specifically asking about cleaner shrimps as I've seen professor Thaller kept them with valentine and leopard tobies without any problems after some initial stalking whilst the fish were thin.
I'm also a huge fan of brittlestars (larger one's intentionally added) and was wondering if these would be munched on, guessing they might get shorter.

I haven't really narrowed down which species I'd like to try but would be open to suggestions.

I had a Saddleback Valentini Puffer for about 20 minutes in my tank. He was the fastest fish to ever eat in my tank. Unfortunately, he was eating my shrimp, snails, and picking at my acans. The only saving grace was he was relatively easy to net and bring back to the store.

I knew the risks and took the chance. I personally wouldnt risk it.

That being said, each fish is an individual, you may get lucky. It really depends on how much you value getting a toby over the shrimp.

I have Green Spotted Puffer fish in my SW tank with corals for about 4 months now. No issues whatsoever, I guess because he is not really a SW fish but he is doing great and very happy. He tries some time to go over my snails and hermits but never had luck to get any. They just to big for him. It is very funny to watch him tho. Also he is afraid of my Cleaning shrimp, never touched my pom-pom crabs or any other shrimps.
A week ago I got Orange Butterfly Fish and that guy teared apart couple of corals in the first day. So next day I spent two hours to catch that MF.

I have a blue spotted puffer. Cool fish, but, he ate the nassarius snails I tried to keep him with in a couple days. Leaves my corals alone though.

I have a Valentini puffer. She nips at snails once in a while but has never ate any of them or caused damage. Hasn't even touched my coral, clam, hermits, emerald crab, etc. She eats right out of my hand, unlike my clown who takes every opportunity she can to bite me... The Toby is honestly better behaved than my other fish :P

I had a c. solandri for a long time in a softy tank. I'm pretty sure he ate a peppermint shrimp, but know he polished off all the snails in his 40-gallon tank.

Aside from that, it was a great fish. Never bothered any of my corals. Don't know how he would have acted with LPS.

Anyone had issues with serpent/brittlestars? are they likely to get shorter or completely munch in your experience.

My c. papua leaves snails alone, but killed every single shrimp and crab that he could find, along with tearing apart the frag acan I had in my tank. They have incredible personalities, but I wouldn't get attached to inverts if you do get one.
