Today was a good day!!

well to start this off hello reef central. Im making this thread so we can all share the day or days were your loved ones or people you live with say no to the corals, fish or upgrade you would like but as aquarist we do not give up on these upgrades or livestock purchases and stay persistant and eventually down the road we get them to budge.

Well we just relocated to michigan from iowa and i always loved marine life but being in a family with a dad who was in the army for 23yrs it was hard to have pets when we were always moving but this is are last move my dad finally retired and they plan on staying here for the rest of their lifes or 10 or so years so im very happy. We where at the lfs couple weeks ago and i could not get my mom to budge past a 65 gallon aquarium. But after a couple of weeks of being in a hotel and waiting for are house to be built we went back and i got her to go with a 75 gallon which I was very happy with. But after sitting in this hotel for another 2 weeks and doing more research and bugging her. Today we went back but this time with my dad tagging along. We showed him the tank and stuff we were going to get and next to it was a 120 gallon and I said thats what i would love to have. My dad said if your going to get one miswell get a big one and my mom said you guys are nuts the 75 gallon is big enough. After being in the store for 30 minutes or so and my dad talking to her what went from a 65 gallon tank is know a 90 gallon reef ready. Which maybe next time when were moved in which will be november 1st can not wait!! It will be the 120 gallon who knows im so happy know though!

ah, shelby. so you live by kee's then.... great store and check them out if you havent yet. they have a 1000g display right by the counter and provide excellent quality fish. and also check out tropicorium if you get the chance. and p.s. im sending a pm as well

wow you are good yea I officially made kee's my lfs love that place literally been there 6 times since we got here they probably think im weird. And that 1000g display is awsome. I plan on getting my 90g setup from there just getting the rock and skimmer online and lights. Only other place I been was oceans and seas place was nice but the tank prices were alot more.

ya tropicorium is HUGE but its in Romulus. Definitely worth checking out at least once. here is their site- http://tropicoriuminc.com/home.php . the stuff on the site is like 25% of what they actually have at the store

the 1000g tank at kee's has some awsome fish in it to the group of blotched anthias are so cool. I want that magnificent fox face they have in it to one of my favorite fish and its like 8 inches or bigger.
