That torch obviously loves the laminar flow it's getting... pretty soon you'll have the largest Todds colony in WNY! :eek1: Awesome pic, thanks for sharing.

Is it that slow growing? My experience with branching Euphylia is that they can go from a few heads to 30 or more in just a couple years. I'm sure Randy has had this coral a long time. I remember seeing it when he first went online with ARC, so its been here for more than a few years.

it is a slow grower, but being so popular everyone wants frags..It is really hard to look the other way when everyone is throwing piles of cash at you for a frag..

Also I hate to say, being popular and it being a amazing looking coral that has lots of movement, allot of newbs buy them before they are ready and kill them..In the past year and a half I have been in the hobby,I have seen three go this way..

stop picking on me for losing my todds torch todd.....lol yes i was one that was not ready for it and it died.

look at johnny c with the $10 word LAMINAR FLOW.........LOL

I try. ;)

Seriously though, people sometimes ask how to achieve the long tentacles that TT is known for. Laminar flow (usually by means of Koralia or the like) seems to help a lot.

hehe no names needed Kevin  I'm sure there are plenty more out there :)

If I had a buck for every coral and fish I killed in the last year and a half I could buy an other TT probably lol

nice.

You even got the Powder Blue in your pic.
My TT is recovering, BTW.... and I still have my Powder Blue.

Nice did the PB get the "vibes" It's not really a good idea to nip that TT anymore :lol2:

mine will not touch anything but brown algae growing in the tank and green nori..kinda wish he would eat some pellets though..

actually

actually

I cemented my TT in high laminar flow near Junior's cave.
This placement makes it very difficult for any fish to linger around it for very long.

I'm predicting a full recovery.

nice picture ,my TT looks very similar at night but my camera wont take a night picture as it just kind of looks blacked out . cheap digital cameras are not good under low light with moving objects at all .
